Full Tour Description

Step back in time and visit the oldest wine producing region in the Southern Hemisphere and taste some of the most famous wines ever produced in this country, enjoyed by royalty in the 18th century as well as the likes of Napoléon Bonaparte.

 

Start the day exploring the Capes most Historic wine estates Groot Constantia home of Grand Constance South Africa’s Oldest Wine. During your visit, browse the beautiful gardens surrounded by vineyards. Enjoy visiting the ducks, wine museum, view colourful art collections by local African painters and most importantly get a taste of Groot Constantia's iconic beloved wines.

 

Next stop is a charming boutique winery, enjoy your tasting in their private garden next to a happy stream surrounded by lush forest greenery on the tasting deck or lush emerald green lawns ~ if peckish snack on an antipasto platter or cheese board. This winery produces some outstanding Shiraz and Merlot and some smashable sun fun Rosé.  

 

End the day off at a boutique wine farm in their modern glass tasting room situated high up on Constantia Nek overlooking stunning views of the Constantia wine region.
